An AI-powered solution automates the legal department of a media production group, saving up to 40% of time on routine tasks related to licensing agreements and other legal documents.
The legal department of our client, a media content provider for film production, drafts and reviews licensing agreements and other legal documents. This colossal volume of work is often combined with tight deadlines for final document preparation. Any delays in drafting, reviewing, and approving legal documents delay content production, causing the company to miss deadlines and even incur losses. On the other hand, rushing and inaccurately reviewing licensing agreements can lead to significant financial losses down the road.
The client approached us for an AI solution to automate legal document management, and ideally, to completely eliminate manual labor in routine processes.
Based on the client’s business process analytics, we proposed implementing a local, on-premise AI solution based on LLM. We integrated several AI agents into a consolidated logical infrastructure, where each agent specialized in a single task, and a shared AI supervisor provided a unified workflow.
We tested the resulting Proof of Concept in three key areas of the client’s legal department:
The MVP took approximately two months to develop. The result is a scalable automated solution, controlled by a simple interface and natural language processing (NLP) commands. Document processing now takes just minutes, instead of hours of manual proofreading and verification. AI generates a conceptual summary, highlights risks and contentious issues, and points out legal errors and contractual inconsistencies with the organization’s internal policies and current legislation.
The client’s legal department currently consists of three lawyers. However, it is already clear that expanding the team to dozens, with a proportional increase in the number of documents, will further enhance productivity thanks to the AI assistant developed.
Work is underway to further develop the AI solution.
